The Bank aspires to be the most trusted leader in banking services, to make it easy for clients to handle their banking needs together with their investing experience, and to enable them to address their financial needs on the asset and liability sides of their balance sheets.The Bank Sales team is seeking a high potential Regional Banking Director (\"RBD\") who will have overall leadership responsibilities for a team of Regional Banking Managers (\"RBMs\") that act as the Bank's subject matter authorities throughout the Eastern division for both our retail and institutional clients. Specifically, the RBD will be primarily responsible for ensuring RBMs enhance relationships within their respective regions through education and training of the Bank's products, and influencing partners to further engage clients in holistic financial planning discussions that review liability needs. The RBD will also be responsible for ensuring RBMs meet agreed upon production goals and provide service and support as needed. Successful candidates will have extensive leadership, relationship and sales management experience as well as a deep knowledge of the banking industry.What you're good at* Have a consistent track record in developing and leading a successful sales team* Develop sales staff by recruiting, hiring and training employees* Continued support of sales staff via coaching through planning, monitoring and appraising job results* Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals for territories, as well as projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products* Ensure team exhibits attention to detail on operational integrity when working with business partners and end-clients* Resolve complex client lending requests and efficiently identify solutions to ensure the highest level of customer service and support* Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of loan programs in today's marketplace* Partner with business peers in product development, strategy, marketing, and sales to coordinate efforts on new Bank initiatives* Have excellent social skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences* Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills as well as exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism* Must demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to highly motivate and get the most from teams* Extensive travel required, including overnightWhat you have* Fully licensed with a Series 7 and Series 63/66 designation* Active Series 9/10 or understanding that it must be obtained within 6 months of employment* NMLS licensed* Bachelor's degree or equivalent* 10+ years sales management experience required and a consistent track record in leading and developing successful teams* 5-7 years mortgage banking and securities based lending experience required* Knowledge of Schwab Bank products & services, including home lending products, secured lines of credit, deposits, and trust services* Ability to develop & handle positive relationships with multiple business partners and clients* Ability to develop & lead a sales team designed to exceed sales and service targets* Shown success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment* Shown presentation & interpersonal skills* Organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks and priorities* Ability to understand the impact of operational and corporate initiatives from a sales or marketing perspective
