STARR RESTAURANTS & EQUINOXhas unveiled a Food & Beverage program centered around Chef Knall s health-conscious cuisine that excites the senses, nourishes the body, and feeds the soul.
We are currently seekingPASTRY COOKswith a strong work ethic and values. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for local ingredients treated with simplicity and respect and a desire to cultivate relationships with farmers and purveyors in the surrounding communities.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of culinary experience in NYT 2 to 4-star rated restaurants
* Culinary school/university education is preferred
* Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
* Ability to manage a station from prep to service
* Ability to work cleanly and efficiently with attention to detail
* Punctuality is key!
* A strong sense of urgency and strong communication skills
* Thorough knowledge and appreciation of seasonal cuisine is a MUST
