Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Engaging customers in conversations, listening to them, performing cash transactions such as: withdrawals, deposits, transfers, payments and other digital banking transactions. Verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsements and fraud detection. Acquiring and building relationships, opening new deposit accounts, completing service requests, and informing customers of self-service digital options and demonstrating them to customers. Helping process some consumer credit requests. Serving as a risk leader and following policies and procedures.
Additionally, in a small organization such as ours, you will be asked to assist other departments to allow for coverage and growth in our organization. You should ensure you are comfortable with this type of changing day to day work.
Maintain cash, including management of Teller Recycling Machines and/or drawer.
Take in and dispense cash and related documents; balance daily.
Engage with customers to build relationships including education of customers on needs as well as Bank products and services.
Research and reconcile outages and operational errors
Participate in bank sponsored events to acquire new customers and deepen existing relationships. Assist customers with questions, issues and other service requests
Identify potential fraud/risky while opening accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
Submit file maintenance request, order debit cards, and assist with account setup documentation and check orders
Demonstrate online banking and digital tools to customers
Work as a part of a team to help customers succeed financially, making outbound calls to current and prospective consumers
Assist with branch administrative and other bank related activities when not assisting a customer. These tasks could include those assigned by loan or deposit operations as well as finance, marketing and electronic banking.
Comply with all departments and Bank policies, ensuring bank policies and procedures are adhered to
Perform all other duties as assigned
Comply with BSA/AML program, requirements and controls.
2+ year of experience interacting with people, demonstrated through work, military, or education preferably in a Financial Industry related role.
2+ year of experience interacting with people, demonstrated through a within a financial service or related organization.
Good understanding of bank financial services and products provided. Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
Positive with a can-do attitude, punctual, reliable, adaptable, and a team player.
Ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology
Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and co-workers
Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
Well-organized, independent and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to exercise judgment, raise questions to management, and adhere to policy guidelines
Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
