ABOUT THIS ROLE The Loan Production and Sales?Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the loan production process including origination, , processing, closing, funding,?through the Credit Union?s online and telephone channels.?The Loan Production and Sales?Manager is responsible for achieving service, sales, and operational performance excellence while managing associated risk and compliance for all activities of a large lending pipeline. Also required is performance of the managerial administrative duties ensuring productivity and efficiency.?Of key importance is the ability to effectively train and manage Loan Officers and loan processors in process, effective use of technology, and effective communication/consultation with members. This position will be responsible for ensuring all loan production policies, procedures, and guidelines are created, properly communicated to staff, and adhered to in order to provide the highest quality service to our members.?The Loan Production and Sales Manager must be highly responsive to issues and concerns from members and internal staff to ensure timely resolution. The Loan Production and Sales Manager is responsible for sales initiatives in the department, and ensures cross-sales meet established goals.? This position is responsible for evaluating the training requirements of lending staff and coordinating with the Training Department to ensure that each employee is properly trained for all products and systems appropriate for their specific role. The Loan Production and Sales Manager are responsible for developing goals and associated activities to ensure organizational and team objectives are met or exceeded.?In addition, the Loan Production and Sales Manager will routinely review individual and team production and quality reports to ensure performance issues and compliance findings are corrected. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops, reviews and recommends strategies, objectives, policies and procedures for Consumer Lending division that support Northwest?s goals and mission. Participates in the development of new and revised procedures, methods, and forms that would be used in, or have an effect on the functions, responsibilities, and activities of Consumer Lending. Ensures adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.?Monitors, coaches, and trains loan officers on risk management, consumer privacy, and information security as it relates to their daily job duties. Is required to have a broad knowledge of Credit Union practices and regulations, to ensure compliance, and must have the ability to establish plans, goals, key performance measures, strategies and assess performance against targets. Is a leader in promoting high morale and a positive brand champion, exhibiting a positive attitude towards members and with fellow employees, instilling a sense of team spirit and supporting credit union initiatives. Effectively performs administrative/managerial responsibilities including performance appraisals, progression plans, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring. Demonstrates enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long term objectives.?Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and work procedures. Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Loan Production and Sales Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of Production of all Consumer Lending Loan Production functions, with heavy emphasis on introducing additional products to our members. The Loan Production and Sales Manager is self-sufficient, works under their own initiative, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Credit Union objectives, policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include: Provides daily direct operational oversight of Consumer Loan staff to include loan origination, funding, sales internal controls, compliance, policies and procedures. Provides direct oversight of Consumer Loan Officers and Loan Processors. Identifies process improvement opportunities to enhance member experience; identifies training and knowledge gaps of employees. Partners with Training Department to implement additional training opportunities. Prepares reports and scorecards. Works directly with appropriate internal staff to ensure optimal set-up and functionality of primary consumer lending systems, specifically MeridianLink (LoansPQ). Keeps division informed of pertinent policies, procedures, and regulations affecting the credit union and / or their jobs. Professionally develop, coach and evaluate all Consumer Lending staff. Reports to VP, Consumer Lending and provides regular updates and alerts regarding all Consumer Lending functions. Participates in coordination with VP, Consumer Lending in the development of loan strategies, marketing campaigns, annual budget process, monthly business reviews, daily assignments and special projects. ? EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor?s Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience. A minimum of 5 years? experience in all aspects of Consumer Lending, with at least 3 years previous experience in a management / leadership role is required. Must also have extensive experience with all aspects of the loan process including origination, underwriting, closing, funding, and quality control. Must possess understanding of critical regulatory and financial guidelines. Proven record of balancing risk and making sound decisions while achieving business goals. Must have the ability to prioritize and strategically plan production volume to achieve goals.
